Student Research Conference Opportunities
2015-2016

North Central College undergraduate students have the opportunity to present their research findings in a variety of local, regional, and national student conferences. Students are encouraged to work closely with their faculty advisor to develop and submit an independent research project. Students may apply for funding through the Student Conference Travel Program.

Rall Symposium - This conference invites all North Central College students to share scholarly work with others at North Central as well as the community at large.

National Conference on Undergraduate Research (NCUR) - This conference invites undergraduate students from across the country to present their research results through oral reports or poster demonstrations. Artists present their work through exhibitions or performances.

     Thursday, April 7 - Saturday, April 9, 2016

     Abstract submissions open on October 5, 2015 and are due by December 2, 2015
     Note: Students should enter the name of their research advisor as their faculty mentor,
              and Dr. Nancy Peterson as the Undergraduate Research Office Coordinator

HCIR Student Symposium - The Honors Council of the Illinois Region invites NCC honors students to present their scholarly work and spend the day meeting honors students from other Illinois institutions. The next conference will be held on Saturday, February 27 at the Northern Illinois University. Contact Dr. Kristin Geraty for more infomration.
