NAC&U Online Course Exchange Program
If you are a full-time degree-seeking undergraduate, you may cross-register for courses at affiliate institutions through the New American Colleges and Universities (NAC&U) online course exchange program. These courses are treated as North Central credit and count toward the residency requirement. You must be registered at North Central during the term you wish to cross-register.
For a list of current courses being offered, visit http://www.newamericancolleges.org/OnLineCourses.html.
Prior to registering for a course through the consortium, read the Online Principles document. To register, download the NAC&U Online Course Registration Form and fill the form out in consultation with your advisor. Once you have completed the form and have your advisor’s signature, bring it to the Office of the Registrar on the third floor of Old Main. We will contact the host institution, and upon their approval you will be registered for NCU 111 at North Central for the appropriate amount of credit.
Upon receipt of the final transcript, the name of the course will be modified to reflect the name of the host institution and an abbreviated name of the course (e.g., NCU 111 Wagner College: Politics of Terrorism).
Note that registration in these courses is contingent on the availability of the course at the host campus. Registration in these online courses is generally only available to Consortium after their own students have had the opportunity to register. North Central students should not count on these courses being available to meet major or general education requirements.
