Academic Summer Classes

What are Academic Summer Classes?

The academic summer language classes are a continuation and extension of the intensive academic English language classes offered in our year-round academic English Language Institute. During the summer, classes are divided offered in an 8-week academic English session, with 20 hours of instruction per week.  Students will explore academic topics in a variety of exciting, fun, and challenging ways.

Students will learn and practice academic reading, writing, listening, speaking and grammar while exploring the communities around them and developing social and cultural skills and awareness. 

When are Academic Summer Classes? How much do they cost?

Summer 2015 Academic Classes will run from July 6, 2015 to August 28, 2015. Students may choose to be picked up or dropped off to the airport on the designated days. Airport Pick-up Day is July 5. Airport drop-off day is August 29.

How do I apply for Academic Summer Classes?

Students follow our easy application process. Please note that students under 17 years of age may attend the summer academic sessions. Contact the program director for more information.

Application Checklist:
In order to apply to the English Language Institute, students must submit the following items:

____ Completed and signed application form with appropriate financial documentation (as needed)
____  Copy of your passport identification page (include copies of your visa page and I-94 card if you are already in the U.S.)
____  The $100 application fee can be paid by:
  *Check made out to North Central College drawn on a U.S. or U.S-affiliate bank     OR
  *Credit card (include a completed Credit Card Payment Authorization Form)
