Favorite thing about North Central: The sense of community and the vast number of opportunities, especially those that allow students to interact with faculty both in and out of the classroom on a consistent basis. People here really care about you and get involved in your experience . . . and work hard to find many different ways to help you get where you want to go.
Words I use to describe North Central students: Friendly, involved, and interested/interesting
Why did I choose to become an admission counselor/staff member at North Central? Every time I met with anyone on campus, I became more and more excited about this place; the people are so genuine and welcoming, and the College is constantly growing and changing. I realized how special it is and wanted to become part of it.
Favorite Naperville Restaurant: It’s a three-way tie between Meson Sabika, On the Border, and The Melting Pot, but I love the overall variety - especially trying cuisines from around the world.
Favorite Season in Naperville: While fall weather is usually great around here and the trees are beautiful, I love summer in Naperville. There’s so much to do outside.
Advice to Students: Use our online Course Substitution Guides to assist you in determining which courses may transfer . . . and then schedule an individual planning meeting on campus with me to get an unofficial transcript evaluation. At that time I also encourage taking a campus tour, meeting with a faculty member, and maybe even sitting in on a class. And afterward, keep in touch! I can help make this the most clear, effective and stress-free process possible.
Visiting North Central:
You can always arrange an individual campus visit to meet with a transfer counselor for an unofficial evaluation of your transcripts – and also take a tour of our campus in Naperville's Historic District and meet with a faculty member in your intended major. Simply call or e-mail me or our office (630-637-5800) to make arrangements. Be sure to bring copies of your transcripts for review! Also, consider attending our upcoming Transfer Information Session (Fri., June 20th). For more information, go to https://northcentralcollege.edu/admission/transfer-visit
Our next traditional start term possibility, Fall Term 2014, begins Monday, September 15th. For full admission, financial aid and registration consideration, all Fall Term applications and transcripts must be received before Friday, August 15th, 2014. If you cannot complete the admission process before this date, call me to discuss our Winter Term 2015 that begins January 5th, 2015.
