Favorite thing about North Central:
The people. Everyone I know here is friendly and welcoming, whether they are faculty, staff, or students. There is no doubt that North Central has a close-knit campus community.
Words I use to describe North Central students:
While there are so many adjectives that could accurately describe them, I would have to say that North Central students are well-rounded. The wide variety of campus activities and events available to students allow them to be involved in many ways.
Why did I choose to become an Admission Counselor at North Central?
I know from firsthand experience and from teaching experience that the college application process is a stressful time for high school students. For this reason, I want to be able to personally help relieve some of this stress as well as guide students in the pursuit of their future goals through a quality, academically-esteemed institution like North Central.
Favorite Naperville Restaurant:
It’s probably a toss-up between Mongolian BBQ and Ted’s Montana Grill. Places that have many options and where I can get a lot of food!
Favorite Season in Naperville:
Definitely Spring. After a long Winter, there is nothing better than the first warm day of Spring. Plus, I like the rain and the transformation of the landscape from brown to green.
Advice to Students:
Research as much as you can about the schools to which you are applying. The more you know about a college, the better you will be at determining if it is right for you. It makes the entire process easier and less intimidating.
Consider attending one of our Transfer Visit Programs. Our next program will be an Information Session on Friday, December 5th. In addition, I will be making college visits throughout the Spring term, so check back to see when I'll be coming to your school and feel free to stop by my table with any questions.
You can always arrange an individual campus visit to meet with a counselor, get an unofficial evaluation of your transcripts, and take a tour of our campus in Naperville's Historic District. Simply call our office at 630-637-5800. Be sure to bring copies of your transcripts to review!
Our next traditional start term possibility, Spring Term 2015, begins Monday, March 30th. For full admission, financial aid and registration consideration, there is a target date of Friday, March 13th for Spring Term file completion. If you cannot complete your file by this date, call our office at 630-637-5800 to discuss your situation. We are also currently admitting students for our Fall Term 2015 (which begins September 14th).
