This master of science program will prepare you for a position in Web development—one of the fastest-growing occupations according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. Along with a positive job outlook for graduates, this niche degree was in part shaped by local employers expressing a need for employees with these desired skills: database management, computer networking, information security, Web applications and services expertise. North Central has tailored its computer science degree to meet this demand by balancing foundational areas for understanding and problem solving with an emphasis on emerging information technologies. Our graduates are immediately productive and adaptive in roles like programmer, Web developer, Web programmer, software developer, software architect, database designer, database administrator (DBA), Web applications developer and webmaster.

North Central College's full-time faculty will put you to work with real world group projects and hands-on assignments that introduce you to Web application programming, databases, networking, security and more. You'll also master such Web development technologies as ASP.Net, Java Servlets, PHP, JavaScript, Ajax and HTML/CSS.

This new degree gives students the skills to be marketable and a strong foundation for continued growth in Web applications development.
