Hola amigos!
This past week has been a very very busy week. I’ve had two tests, a quiz, tons of homework, a meet and my RA application is due on Friday! I’m exhausted. I’m glad this week is over! I had completely forgotten about my Spanish 102 test on Monday, but it turns out I still got an A! Hopefully that’s how my Calculus test turned out, too!
As I mentioned above, I had a meet this week! This was my first collegiate indoor track meet! I was very excited for it. I ran the 3,000 meter race. I ran about a 12 second personal best. I couldn’t have been happier with the outcome, especially after such a long week. Overall, the meet went very well! We had multiple national qualifiers in the meet. Mike Spain and Neal Klein provisionally qualified in the 5,000 meter run. In the pole vault, Josh Winder automatically qualified for the national meet while John Wood, Tom Stacey, and Peter Geraghty provisionally qualified. Bobby Kapustka automatically qualified in the weight throw, Zach Heerspink provisionally qualified in the high jump, and Dan Benton qualified in the 400 meter dash! The Cardinal’s have 9 athletes qualified for the national meet, and we’ve only had two meets! The Cardinals are on a great start!
Speaking of cardinals, CUAB is hosting a comedy night featuring Johnny Cardinale tonight at 9:00! I’m definitely going to that!
Well that’s all for now.
Have a great week Cardinals!
