If you are in high school with IB curriculum (similar to AP which get you college credits), please don’t think that the title IB have that meaning. IB is short for investment banking.

I went to some investment banking evenings in the month, two or three times a week. For Thursdays, I end up finishing class at 6pm and going to investment banking evening for 2 hours then library for another 2 or 3 hours. So when I got back my flat, other people were ready going out for party; but I need my late dinner first.

In the two week I went to one M&A (merger and acquisition) study and two trading games. Trading games are fun to play with. I got top 3 in the CITI trading game (university level) but lost in RBS trading game. In CITI, we use cards: each member has one card with number on; and there are three cards in the middle of a table. What plays do is estimating market total value and trade. In the RBS game, each player uses a laptop and trade with known previous market trend and news coming.

It is fun experience and knowing what jobs are like in IB.
