European rail trip
I just got back from rail trip around Europe. I visited Netherland, Germany, Luxembourg, Chezh Republic, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, and France.
Here is my journey:
Dec 19th: Flight from UK to Amsterdam, Holland
Dec 20th: Train from Amsterdam to Germany Cologne, stayed in Cologne for several hours and then visit my German friend in Bielefeld
Dec 21st: Morning train from Bielefeld to Berlin, stayed in Berlin
Dec 22nd: Afternoon train from Berlin to Prague, Czech Republic
Dec 23rd: Stay in Prague
Dec 24th: Train from Prague to Munich
Dec 25th: Christmas. Newschwansten Castle in Fussen and Ausburg in Germany. Stay in Munich at night
Dec 26th: train from Munich to Zurich (Switzerland) via Innsbruck, Austria. Alps mountain is gorgeous.
Dec 27th: Travel in Luzern, then to Interlaken. Stayed in Interlaken
Dec 28th: Visit Bern, the capital of Switzerland. Afternoon train to Milan (Italy).
Dec 29th: Travel to Florence.
Dec 30th: Visit Pisa and night train to Nice (Southern France)
Dec 31st : Visit Marseille and train to Paris. New year eve in Paris
Jan 1st, 2012: Morning train to Luxembourg, then afternoon train to Frankfurt, Germany
Jan 2nd: Visit Wurzburg and Rottenburg (nice towns on German Romantic Road)
Jan 3rd: Visit Mainz and train to Cologne along Rheine River, evening train to Amsterdam
Jan 4th: Walked around Amsterdam and evening flight back to UK
