Is it bad I am contemplating taking off work today to write a paper? That is about where I am at right now. I have 2 papers due in a week and a half, one 5-6 page paper and then a full draft of my capstone paper. I am trying to work ahead as much as I can so that I can just focus on my full draft and then be relaxed the day before they are due so that I can take the time to edit the papers fully and with a clear mind. I have learned, by writing many papers, that I do the best job when I take time with them and take a "break" from them before editing. Working ahead is how I accomplish this.
I think that as you come into college, you have to figure out how you do homework. I tell all of my tours this. For me, it is being in a totally quiet space, typically alone, and working until I am done. I also do better work when I am ahead and more relaxed. I have found one of the only people I can do homework around constructively is my boyfriend, however, we have been doing homework together for years and he is quiet :) it is perfect, and holds me accountable that I am working throughout the time that is set out.
Well, off to write a paper on a Friday. I know I'm exciting :)
