Hello readers!
Sorry that it has been so long! I have been the busiest I have ever been in my life. To start off, I have been pretty sick. I’ve been having heart palpitations for about 3 weeks. For those who do not know what a heart palpitation is (like I didn’t know until the doctor explained it to me), a heart palpitation is generally described as steady throbbing, a skipped beat, or irregular fluttering. For me, it’s been all of this. When they first started occurring, I just thought that I was just tired and needed more sleep. Well, after I collapsed at the end of one of my races and took about 5 minutes to catch my breath, I realized that I was more than just tired. I ended up going to the hospital for tests two days after that race. I got blood work done, a chest x-ray, a ct scan on my head, and an EKG done…nothing showed up bad. So, they sent me to a cardiologist who put me on a 24 hour EKG. I turned that in on Friday and now await the results of that. But since I went to the hospital on the 14th, I have not run. It has only been one week, and I can’t stand it! I wish I could be out running, but for my well-being, I just can’t :( I hope that they can figure out the reason for my heart palpitations so that they can start treatment, whatever the treatment may be. I’m dying to get back on the track. Other than that, my life has been just busy work; tons of homework, meetings and tests. Oh, last weekend, I did go watch “NCC’s Got Talent” which was incredible. Props to everyone in the show, you all were amazing!
That’s all I have,
Happy week 8!
Patrick :)
