The Princeton Review has once again named North Central College a Best Midwestern College in its annual survey of the nation’s best colleges.

The Princeton Review has once again named North Central College a Best Midwestern College in its annual survey of the nation’s best colleges.

North Central College is among a select group of institutions nationwide highlighted by The Princeton Review in “The Best 377 Colleges, 2013 Edition.”

Only about 15 percent of America’s 2,500 four-year colleges are profiled in the book, which is based on the Princeton Review’s surveys of 122,000 college students. The Princeton Review began surveying college students and publishing its findings in 1992.

May 21, 2012—Meghan Steinbeiss of Naperville was awarded the 2012 Outstanding Major in Political Science Award during Honors Day May 15 at North Central College.

Steinbeiss is a junior majoring in political science and global studies. She is the daughter of James and Isabel Steinbeiss and a graduate of Naperville North High School. When she completes her studies at North Central Steinbeiss plans to pursue graduate studies in political science, earn a doctorate and teach the subject at a college or university.

May 21, 2012—Elizabeth Hasseld of East Jordan was awarded the 2012 Outstanding Major in Global Studies Award during Honors Day May 15 at North Central College.

Hasseld is a senior double-majoring in global studies and political science. She is the daughter of Frank Hasseld and Lori Bolt and a graduate of East Jordan High School.

The Office of International Programs, ThinkGlobal Arts foundation and Sigma Tau Delta, North Central’s English honor society, will co-host a talk by Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 25, in Wentz Concert Hall. Divakaruni is an award-winning author, poet and teacher.
