Deepayan Bose

Deepayan always wanted to be an artist. By majoring in interactive media studies, he was able to merge that passion with his skills in technology.

“It’s a good way to combine both interests into something that allows me to express myself artistically and further my career goals,” he says.

Deepayan gained real-world experience as a student-designer in North Central College’s Office of Marketing and Communications, sharpening his design skills within a workplace setting. He also found an outlet for creative expression as layout editor for The Kindling, North Central’s student-run humor magazine.

Deepayan hopes to work as a magazine layout editor or graphic designer. He also dreams of creating his own Chicagoland art publication.

“It would be a platform for upcoming artists in the area to showcase their work. I could also feature my own artwork, writing and designs.”
