The Daily Herald profiles North Central College interactive media studies major Nick Penev, winner of a nationwide video contest.

Today's Daily Herald features a front-page profile of North Central College interactive media studies major Nick Penev, who was unanimously selected by Texas-based Rooster Teeth Productions as the winner of the “Red vs. Blue” season 9 music video contest among 260 entries nationwide.

The video features Penev in the starring role and more than 20 other people, mostly North Central students.

North Central hosts 2012 Blue Key National Conference

More than 100 students from across the country traveled to North Central College for the 2012 Blue Key National Conference, which took place Jan. 13-14.

The students represented 13 different colleges and universities, ranging from the University of Portland in Oregon to Slippery Rock University in Pennsylvania. Over the course of the conference, students had the opportunity to participate in a vast array of activities.

Mitzel is nominated in the Best Radio Podcast category of the annual Collegiate Broadcasters Inc. (CBI) National Student Production Awards.
 

Record number of students to present at national research conference

A record 38 students from various academic areas will represent North Central at the National Conference on Undergraduate Research this spring.
