Danielle honed her leadership skills in every way possible during her four years on campus. She held leadership positions in residence life, College Union Activities Board, ministry and service and Blue Key Honor Society, which recognizes students who are campus leaders. As an intern in the office of admission, Danielle conducted and presented research on the decision-making process of North Central’s prospective students. After a busy four years on campus, Danielle landed a position in the very competitive Teach For America program and was assigned to Kansas City, MO.

An organizational communication major, she decided that a minor in leadership would best prepare her for her future. “The leadership minor really helped me develop the skills necessary to lead in all aspects,” she says. “I expanded my knowledge of resolving conflict and my critical thinking skills. I was challenged to consider circumstances of a situation and ramifications of certain decisions. This minor really helped me reflect on my own experiences to understand how they can benefit me and others in the future.”
