North Central College students may apply by Feb. 20 to present their original research at the College’s 16th annual Rall Symposium for Undergraduate Research, which will take place during Honors Day on Tuesday, May 14.

Survey finds North Central College graduates among highest income-earners

Graduates of North Central College earn more income over their lifetimes than peers who graduate from most comparable schools, a new survey finds.

North Central College ranks among the top 15 percent of private, nonprofit schools in the 2011-2012 survey by Payscale.com. The mid-career median salary for North Central College graduates is $81,300, ranking No. 39 out of 303 schools in the private, nonprofit category.

North Central College recognized as a Military Friendly School for 2013

North Central College has been named a 2013 Military Friendly School by G.I. Jobs magazine.

The 2013 Military Friendly Schools list honors the top 15 percent of colleges, universities and trade schools that are doing the most to embrace America’s military service members and veterans as students. This is the second consecutive year North Central College has earned the recognition.

The Reverend Timothy Biel Jr. '97

The Reverend Timothy Biel Jr. was featured in a Faces of Faith article in the March 1 issue of the Southtown Star newspaper. At age 13 he took his first trip to Appalachia to help people in need. He was preaching at youth Sunday services at age 14 and at 18 began leading worship services on a regular basis. While attending Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary, where he earned his master of divinity degree, Biel pastored inner-city churches in Boston and Chicago. In 2007, he was ordained at his denomination’s annual conference in St. Charles, IL.

“A Promising Start: Excellence in Scholarship” on Sept. 4 featured panel discussions, poster presentations and sessions during which nearly 40 faculty members shared stories and findings of their independent scholarly work.
