Students and faculty participate in German immersion conference

North Central College students attended and faculty member Karin Duncker-Hoffmann presented at the Northern Illinois College Immersion Day of German.

Nine North Central College students participated in the third annual Northern Illinois College Immersion Day of German April 18 hosted by the American Association of Teachers of German (AATG). More than 150 students and instructors of German from the area attended the event at College of DuPage.

Gregory H. Wolf, North Central College professor of German, and a member of the Society of American Baseball Research (SABR) published the feature and lead article, “A Friend of Pirates History. From 42-112 to a World Series Championship,” on April 6 in The Hardball Times, an Internet site focusing on the history of Major League Baseball and advanced sabermetric analysis.
