Hamalis named first holder of endowed chair in religion

Perry Hamalis, associate professor of religious studies, was named the first holder of the Cecelia Schneller Mueller Professor of Religion endowed chair.

June 24, 2011—North Central College recently announced that Perry Hamalis, associate professor of religious studies and director of academic opportunities, was named the first holder of the Cecelia Schneller Mueller Professor of Religion endowed chair.
 
The new endowed chair was made possible by the generosity of alumnae Cecelia Schneller Mueller, Class of 1927, and her sister Mary Schneller Rosar, Class of 1933.
 

Hamalis presents research on war ethics at conference

Perry Hamalis, Cecelia Schneller Mueller Professor of Religion, was invited to present his paper and research on war ethics, which will become part of a book.

Perry Hamalis—Cecelia Schneller Mueller Professor of Religion, associate professor of religious studies and director of academic opportunities—was one of 10 invited speakers from around the country to present his research on war ethics at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. The conference, which took place March 25-26, was hosted by LMU and co-sponsored by the Huffington Ecumenical Institute and Fordham University.
