Madormo’s book for middle-grade readers is chosen for Illinois Reads campaign

John Madormo, North Central College assistant professor of broadcast communication and general manager of WONC-FM 89.1, was recognized by the Illinois Reading Council at a Celebration of Literacy event March 12 at the Old State Capitol Historic Site in Springfield, Ill.

The Illinois Reading Council chose Madormo’s first book, “The Homemade Stuffing Caper” in the “Charlie Collier: Snoop for Hire” series, to promote statewide in the third- to fifth-grade category for the 2014-2015 academic school year.
