Bracarense accepted to research fellowship at Duke University

Natália Bracarense, North Central College assistant professor of economics, was accepted to Fellowship Program at Center for the History of Political Economy.

Natália Bracarense, North Central College assistant professor of economics, was accepted to Duke University’s Fellowship Program at the Center for the History of Political Economy. She will reside at Duke during fall term 2016 to pursue her research project—a historical appraisal of economic theories on distribution and how they affected economic policies in Latin America.

Natália Bracarense, North Central College assistant professor of economics, presented two papers at the European Society of the History of Economic Thought conference held Nov. 20-22 in Medellin, Colombia. She was awarded a travel grant to present one of her papers, titled “Raúl Prebisch’s Core and Periphery Analysis: An Evolution Away from a Dichotomous View.”

New faculty members begin academic year at North Central College

North Central College appoints five tenure-track faculty members in the sciences, theatre, economics and mathematics for 2013-2014 academic year.

North Central College has appointed new tenure-track faculty members for the 2013-2014 academic year, which begins Sept. 16.
