Rafeal Williams '95

Rafeal Williams finished his second season as head men’s and women’s cross country and track and field coach at Lincoln University in Pennsylvania. The 2011-2012 season was Lincoln’s first year as an NCAA Division II member. During his six years as an assistant coach with the NCAA Division II program at Grand Valley State University in Michigan, Williams specialized with the sprints, hurdles and relays. He cultivated 99 NCAA Division II U.S.

The Reverend Timothy Biel Jr. '97

The Reverend Timothy Biel Jr. was featured in a Faces of Faith article in the March 1 issue of the Southtown Star newspaper. At age 13 he took his first trip to Appalachia to help people in need. He was preaching at youth Sunday services at age 14 and at 18 began leading worship services on a regular basis. While attending Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary, where he earned his master of divinity degree, Biel pastored inner-city churches in Boston and Chicago. In 2007, he was ordained at his denomination’s annual conference in St. Charles, IL.

Adam J. Schafer '96

Adam J. Schafer was named Montana’s deputy commissioner of securities and insurance and chief of staff for Monica Lindeen, who heads the state’s oversight of the insurance and securities industries. Schafer served as executive director for the National Caucus of Environmental Legislators in Washington, D.C., before returning to Montana. Schafer brings extensive experience with the Montana Legislature, having served as chief of staff and secretary for Democratic leaders in the state senate during the 2001 and 1999 legislatures.

Johnel Muczynski '95

Johnel Muczynski was honored with the Joliet Area Great Teachers Award from the Joliet Region Chamber of Commerce & Industry on March 15. She has taught physical education at Joliet West High School for 15 years.

Jeff Davis '92

Jeff Davis was elected president of the Naperville Public Library Board. He is vice president, sales administration and marketing with Phoenix Closures, Inc., a Naperville-based manufacturer of plastic caps and closures. Davis has been a coach, Cub Scout den leader and has served on the Naperville Community School District 203 board from 2000 to 2003. Davis also served on the Naperville Area Chamber’s board of directors from 2003 to 2006 and chaired the legislative committee.

Curt Vollman is currently host of the morning show on WRJN News-Talk 1400 AM in Racine, WI. He interviewed John Madormo, assistant professor of broadcast communication and general manager of WONC, about his recently published mystery “Charlie Collier, Snoop for Hire: The Homemade Stuffing Caper.”

LeAnn Snyder Gonzalez M ’98

LeAnn Snyder Gonzalez M ’98 has accepted a position as interventionist at Hill Middle School in Indian Prairie School District 204. She previously taught there from 1992 to 1999. She attended a literacy symposium at North Central during June and she and her husband Larry ’89 are frequent visitors to campus for sports events. Judith Treece Childress '89

Judith Treece Childress was named controller at Shamrock Specialty Packaging in Elgin, IL, in November 2011. She’ll continue to handle both accounting and human resource responsibilities for the packaging solutions provider. She may be reached at

Michael D. Oldenettel '88

Michael D. Oldenettel was installed as the 2012 president-elect of the Illinois Association of Realtors. He’ll serve as chair of the strategic planning committee and as vice chair of the leadership and executive committees and National Association of Realtors political advisory working group. He’s managing broker-owner of RE/MAX Results Plus, Inc. in Jacksonville, IL.
