Not every band stakes out new musical territory and embraces fresh challenges more than 23 years into its career, but that's the case with Blues Traveler. Known for its improvisational live performances, the band is influenced by a variety of genres, including blues rock, folk rock, soul and Southern rock.

Organizers canceled a previously announced town hall meeting that was to feature the two candidates in the Feb. 2 Democratic primary for governor.

Organizers have canceled a previously announced town hall meeting that was to have featured Illinois Gov. Pat Quinn and state Comptroller Dan Hynes, the two candidates in the Feb. 2 Democratic primary for governor.

The event had been scheduled for 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 20 in North Central College’s Pfeiffer Hall, 310 E. Benton Ave., Naperville. The event’s sponsors, the Regular Democratic Organizations of Lisle, Naperville and Downers Grove townships, announced the event was canceled.
