Wis is guest clinician at choral classic

Ramona Wis, Mimi Rolland Distinguished Professor in the Fine Arts and professor of music, was guest clinician for the Wheaton Warrenville South Choral Classic.

Ramona Wis, Mimi Rolland Distinguished Professor in the Fine Arts and professor and chair of music, was a guest clinician for the Wheaton Warrenville South Choral Classic on March 12. The event featured a high school competition with 18 show choirs and concert choirs and brought together hundreds of singers throughout the Midwest for performances, adjudications and clinics in the choral and show choir genres.

Ramona Wis, Mimi Rolland Professor in the Fine Arts, professor and chair of music, was the headliner for the Ohio Collegiate Music Educators Association (OCMEA) Conference in Columbus, OH, on Nov. 6. Wis presented several sessions to undergraduate music education students from Ohio State, Miami University of Ohio, Cincinnati Conservatory of Music, Marietta College and other institutions in the state, covering topics of Music Education Philosophy, Rehearsal Design, Collaborative Teaching Techniques, and Repertoire Choice and Concert Programming.
