Campus Safety officers to take part in July 29 Special Olympics lunch

North Central College Campus Safety officers will participate in a July 29 lunch that will benefit Special Olympics.

Diners are invited to join Naperville-area law enforcement officers for lunch between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Friday, July 29, at Texas Roundhouse, 2856 Patriot’s Lane, Naperville. Officers will serve a lunch of a pulled pork sandwich, a side dish and nonalcoholic beverage. There is no charge for the meal, but 100 percent of donations will go to Special Olympics Illinois.

College hosts Special Olympics Spring Games on April 25

The public is welcome to cheer athletes as they compete in the Special Olympics Illinois Northeastern Area 2 Spring Games April 25 at North Central College.

Families, volunteers and spectators will cheer on runners, shot-putters and other athletes as they compete in the Special Olympics Illinois Northeastern Area 2 Spring Games from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, April 25, at North Central College.

The public is invited to watch the competition and experience the joy of achievement by Special Olympics athletes. This is the 10th consecutive year North Central has hosted Special Olympics Area 2’s largest annual event.
