North Central College senior Kimberly Grazulis is chosen to read in Chicago’s 14th annual Citywide Undergraduate Poetry Festival.

North Central College student Kimberly Grazulis ’13 participated in the 14th annual Citywide Undergraduate Poetry Festival in Chicago.

The festival was held April 4 at Columbia College Chicago and featured the talents of eight poets from Chicago-area colleges and universities who read their own original works. Other participating institutions included DePaul University, Northwestern University and the University of Chicago.

The River Cities Reader recently profiled Associate Professor of English Zachary Jack in a piece that talked about how he is a descendant of seven generations of  families in Iowa.

Jack will deliver an author’s talk and read from his creative-nonfiction book “Native Soulmate” (scheduled for September release) at the Bettendorf Public Library on Thursday, July 21.

Zachary Jack, associate professor of English, writes “Let There Be Pebble: A Middle-Handicapper’s Year in America’s Garden of Golf” after yearlong research.

June 28, 2011—Associate Professor of English Zachary Michael Jack released his latest work, “Let There be Pebble: A Middle-Handicapper’s Year in America’s Garden of Golf,” in May 2011 by University of Nebraska Press. His yearlong research for the book about the famed oceanside Pebble Beach golf course culminated in on-site coverage of the U.S. Open on the 10th anniversary of Tiger Woods’s unprecedented win in 2000.
