Herman B. White Jr., member and vice chair of North Central’s Board of Trustees, was named the recipient of the 2010 Edward A. Bouchet Award, a prestigious prize awarded annually by the American Physical Society (APS). It recognizes a distinguished minority physicist who has made significant contributions to physics research. He will accept the award in February 2010 at the APS meeting in Washington, D.C., where he will give an acceptance lecture.
