Opening night of “Distracted” includes talk-back with actors, faculty

Psychology and theatre faculty are hosting a noncredit Verandah opportunity and Q&A after the Thursday, Oct. 20, opening night production of “Distracted.” The play will be staged this weekend at 7:30 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, Oct. 20, 21 and 22, and at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 23, in Madden Theatre.

Daniel VanHorn, assistant professor psychology, and Karl Kelley, professor of psychology, gave addresses April 30 as part of the Psi Chi Symposium at the 2010 Midwestern Psychological Association annual meeting April 29-May 1 in Chicago. VanHorn’s address was titled “Tips for Getting Into Graduate School” and Kelley’s talk was titled “Finding Employment With an Undergraduate Degree in Psychology.”

Karl Kelley appointed to editorial board of PsycCRITIQUES

Karl Kelley, professor and chair of psychology, was recognized for his contribution of seven recent papers published in PsycCRITIQUES and named to its editorial board through 2013. PsycCRITIQUES is a database of full-text reviews of books, videos and popular films and replaced the American Psychological Association print journal Contemporary Psychology: APA Review of Books.
