Three new exhibits are on display in the lobby of Oesterle Library. The theme exhibit, titled “NCC Recycles,” highlights books about recycling and illustrations of recyclable items on campus.

Oesterle Library will feature the following publications during winter term in its Community Publications Display in the lobby:
  • Gerald Gems, professor of health and physical education: “The German Turners and the Taming of Radicalism in Chicago” in International Journal of the History of Sport, October 2009.

Check it out! The Oesterle Library homepage has a new look. The redesign has positioned content and links previously located on the lower part of the page to the top where users can see and better access information. “Nothing has been taken away in the redesign,” says Aimee Walker, the library’s coordinator of user experience and developer of the site’s new look.

The campus community is invited to Oesterle Library from noon to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 10, to celebrate the International Year of Discovery with the unveiling of NASA’s mural-sized images of the core of the Milky Way galaxy and to hear various presentations. This community-wide event is co-sponsored by the College’s mathematics department and Oesterle Library. Following is a schedule of activities: •    12 to 2 p.m.—Viewing of Galileo’s Dialogo.
