Gerald Gems, professor of health and physical education, was offered a position as consultant on curriculum and instruction matters during his visiting professorship at Beijing Sports University in June. He also traveled to Antalya, Turkey, where he gave a presentation titled “Sport and the Social Construction of American Masculinity” at the 15th annual Congress of the
European College of Sport Science June 23-26.
