“A Promising Start: Excellence in Scholarship” on Sept. 4 featured panel discussions, poster presentations and sessions during which nearly 40 faculty members shared stories and findings of their independent scholarly work.

Princeton Review names North Central College among nation’s best colleges for 2013

The Princeton Review has once again named North Central College a Best Midwestern College in its annual survey of the nation’s best colleges.

The Princeton Review has once again named North Central College a Best Midwestern College in its annual survey of the nation’s best colleges.

North Central College is among a select group of institutions nationwide highlighted by The Princeton Review in “The Best 377 Colleges, 2013 Edition.”

Only about 15 percent of America’s 2,500 four-year colleges are profiled in the book, which is based on the Princeton Review’s surveys of 122,000 college students. The Princeton Review began surveying college students and publishing its findings in 1992.

April 9, 2012—The public is invited to hear international information technology consultant Michael Hugos deliver the free presentation “Success in the Global Markets” at 6:45 p.m. Wednesday, April 18, in North Central College’s Smith Hall at Old Main, 30 N. Brainard St.  

Hugos’ presentation will address how Americans can compete in the international market and how working styles and cultures vary among the different countries where he has visited and worked.

Guest speakers tell graduate students in education about technology use in classrooms

Students in North Central College’s master of arts in education program heard two guest speakers talk about technology use in classrooms.

Students working toward graduate degrees in North Central College’s master of arts in education (MAEd) program recently heard two guest speakers talk about how technology is being used in today’s elementary, middle and high school classrooms.

Susan Mack, visiting instructor of education, hosted the lecture by guest speakers Tony Schlorff, a math teacher in Naperville Community Unit School District 203, and Rodney Mack, executive director of technology for Wheaton Community Unit School District 200.
