The College’s Board of Trustees in May voted to recognize, John D. Bramsen ’60, as a Life Trustee after 19 years of service to the board. Bramsen majored in mathematics at North Central and then pursued his master’s degree in mathematics at the University of Illinois. During his doctoral studies at the University of Chicago, he studied the application of math to sociological theory, which inspired his research as an assistant professor of sociology at the University of Colorado. He later returned to Chicago to work at Spraying Systems Company, a business founded by his father.
