In honor of the 40th anniversary of the Historic Pullman Annual House Tours in Chicago, Naper Settlement will host a lecture by Ann Durkin Keating, North Central College Dr. C. Frederick Toenniges Professor of History, and a bus tour to the town of Pullman.

Total enrollment stands at 3,048 undergraduate and graduate students, eclipsing the 3,000 mark for the second straight year. The College welcomed 852 new full-time undergraduate students. Enrollment this fall includes a record number of international students and increased representation of out-of-state students and veterans.

DuPage County residents are invited to take part in a Recycling Extravaganza from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 5, at North Central College.

The event will take place in the parking lots behind North Central’s Residence Hall/Recreation Center, 440 S. Brainard St., and Merner Field House, 450 S. Brainard St. The entrance to the lots is located where Porter Avenue intersects with Loomis Street. Volunteers will direct traffic and assist customers dropping off donations.

More than 100 low-income children will start school this fall with supplies paid for the sale of flowers at North Central College’s Commencement.

More than 100 low-income children will start school this year with supplies paid for by supporters of North Central College.

The College teamed up with Flowers for Dreams for the second straight year to raise money to buy school supplies for local needy students. Part of the proceeds from the sale of flowers at the College’s Commencement ceremony in June benefited Flowers for Dreams.

North Central College will showcase works of art from the artists of Naperville Art League in the exhibit “Façades” Aug. 2-Sept. 2 in Schoenherr Gallery.

North Central College will showcase a variety of artwork by members of the Naperville Art League (NAL) in the exhibit “Façades” Aug. 2 through Sept. 8.

The exhibit is free and open to the public in the College’s Schoenherr Gallery at the Fine Arts Center, 171 E. Chicago Ave. An artists’ reception will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 2; complimentary refreshments will be served.
