Actors from the community perform six shows of “The Addams Family”

The odd, but lovable characters of the new musical “The Addams Family” take the Pfeiffer Hall stage in July in North Central’s Summer Musical Theatre.

Actors from the community will perform in North Central College’s Summer Musical Theatre, featuring the new musical comedy “The Addams Family,” with book by Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice and music and lyrics by Andrew Lippa.

North Central College will showcase the artwork of Chicago painter Brian Ritchard from April 10 through June 14.

Titled “Turbine Paintings Series,” the free exhibit will be on display in the College’s Schoenherr Gallery at the Fine Arts Center, 171 E. Chicago Ave. The artist will greet visitors at a reception from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, June 6; complimentary refreshments will be served.

The 90-minute session Feb. 5 covered topics ranging from physical techniques that improve sound to using facial expressions to advance narratives created by composers.
