Students stage Steve Martin comedy "Picasso at the Lapin Agile" April 15-17

North Central puts on student production of "Picasso at the Lapin Agile," where Albert Einstein at 25 and Pablo Picasso at 23 have a fictional meeting.

Steve Martin's witty 1993 comedy "Picasso at the Lapin Agile" will be staged at North Central College April 15-17. Senior musical theatre major Wesley Dean Tucker of Mason City, Ill., will direct the play, which he says is an entertaining, "in-your-face comedy."

The production will be presented Thursday, Friday and Saturday, April 15-17, at 7:30 p.m. in North Central's Meiley-Swallow Hall, 31 S. Ellsworth St., Naperville. North Central College junior Timothy Whitney will present a series of digital photographs in a solo exhibit titled "Toes." His work explores the peculiarities of peoples' toes.

The free exhibit runs April 4 through May 6 at the College's Oesterle Library Gallery, 320 E. School St., Naperville. Whitney will greet visitors during a reception from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 7.

In "Never the Sinner," Clarence Darrow chooses to defend two infamous killers, Nathan Leopold and Richard Loeb, who commited the "crime of the century."

John Logan's remarkable play "Never the Sinner" will be staged at North Central College April 22-25. The adult drama explores justice, mercy, the value of human life, callous criminal conduct, sexuality and other issues that remain part of public discourse.
