Course Description
Wonc Radio Workshop
The registration fee includes admission to special programs, including a field trip to Chicagoland radio stations, resource materials, a workshop t-shirt and lunch each day. Each participant will leave with an audio tape of his/her on-air performances on North Central's WONC-FM 89.1. The workshop will cover such topics as careers in broadcasting and tricks of the trade. Students will also participate in production meetings and be on air! Day One: welcome, career choices in broadcasting, tools & tricks, production meeting & on-air Day Two: production meeting, on-air, morning show prep & sports production Day Three: field trip to visit other local radio stations & on-air Day Four: production meeting, morning show prep, station time & on-air Day Five: production meeting, station imaging & on-air production sessions
