Over its 152-year history, North Central College has had only nine presidents. On Friday, May 17, 2013, the College celebrated the installation of its 10th president, Dr. Troy D. Hammond.
The Inauguration coincided with North Central College’s Cornerstone Week, an annual event that celebrates the College’s move to Naperville and the laying of the cornerstone of Old Main on May 17, 1870. This year’s celebration culminated in the Inauguration ceremony and ball. Traditional events like the Rall Symposium, Honors Convocation and the Cornerstone community picnic led up to the Inauguration. The celebration will continue over the weekend with fireworks, musical concerts, an Inauguration worship service and service project. Please join us in the excitement of a new presidential era as the College looks toward its brilliant future.
