David P. Rall
Outstanding Alumni Award Winner 1974
David Rall was a cancer researcher who simultaneously headed both the Federal National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences and the National Toxicology Program. For 19 years, Dr. Rall headed the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences and held the rank of Assistant Surgeon General in the U.S. Public Health Service. He chaired the World Health Organization’s Program on Chemical Safety. During a scientific career spanning half a century, Dr. Rall was a principal or sole author of some 180 scientific papers and the recipient of many national and international honors.
