May 5, 2011—North Central College alumna and trustee Maria Wynne has been named a founding member of the Chicago Innovation Awards Board of Advisors.
The Chicago Innovation Awards, which started in 2002 to honor new products and services across the local public, private and non-profit sectors, invited Wynne to join its newly created 40-member advisory board. The board is comprised of business and civic leaders who understand the importance of innovation and what it means to the success of the Chicago region and the growth of its economy.
Wynne is chief executive officer of the Girl Scouts of Greater Chicago and Northwest Indiana. She earned her bachelor’s degree in art and education from North Central College in 1977 and an M.B.A. in marketing from Northern Illinois University.
