Sara Koski, North Central’s head athletic trainer, has only been on the job for about six months but her experience teaching and mentoring students and expertise in concussion treatment has brought fresh knowledge to the College’s athletic department.

Tatiana Sifri, North Central College director of the Dyson Wellness Center, was nominated and selected to participate in the 2014 Alice Manicur Symposium, held Jan. 12-15 in Clearwater Beach, Fla. Only a limited number of women from hundreds of applicants were chosen to attend.

WONC receives more IBS award nominations than any school in its category

North Central College WONC-FM staff members receive 13 nominations, including Best College Radio Station, from Intercollegiate Broadcasting System.

North Central College student staff members at WONC-FM 89.1 received 13 nominations (including Best College Radio Station in the United States) from the Intercollegiate Broadcasting System (IBS) for its Golden Microphone Awards.  

WONC received more individual nominations than any other school in its category of enrollments under 10,000. Three staff members—seniors Kevin Jackman, Kristin Gitchell and Kelsey King—each received three nominations.
