Stephania Rodriguez won three North Central College awards: Student Life and the Outstanding Major in Human Resource Management and in Economics & Business.

Stephania Rodriguez, daughter of Sergio and Norma Rodriguez of Aurora, was recognized with three awards—Outstanding Major in Human Resource Management, Outstanding Student in Division of Economics and Business, and Outstanding Service to Student Life—during Honors Day May 13 at North Central College in Naperville.

A senior, Stephania is majoring in human resource management with a minor in Spanish at North Central College. She is a graduate of Oswego East High School.

Jordan Pilgrim won two North Central College awards, the Outstanding Major in Finance and Outstanding Major in Actuarial Science.

Jordan Pilgrim, son of David and Naddene Pilgrim of Fairbury, Ill., was recognized with two awards—the Outstanding Major in Finance and the Outstanding Major in Actuarial Science—during Honors Day May 13 at North Central College in Naperville.

A senior, Jordan has a triple major in actuarial science, economics and finance with a minor in computer science at North Central College. He is a graduate of Prairie Central High School.

North Central College’s Summer Musical Theatre presents the Webber and Rice musical “Evita” June 20-22, 27-29 with actors from the community.

Actors from the community will perform in North Central College’s Summer Musical Theatre, featuring the Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice musical “Evita” in June and features actors from the community.

Six performances will be staged at 7:30 p.m. June 20-21 and 27-28 and at 2 p.m. June 22 and 29 in North Central’s Pfeiffer Hall, 310 E. A junior, Brad is a double major in marketing and finance with a minor in economics at North Central College. He is a graduate of Oswego High School.

Jillian Laumbacher, daughter of Edgar and Beverly Laumbacher of Crystal Lake, was recognized with two awards—Outstanding Major in Economics and Outstanding Major in Global Studies—during Honors Day May 13 at North Central College in Naperville.

A senior, Jillian is double majoring in economics and global studies with a concentration in international relations at North Central College. She is a graduate of Crystal Lake South High School.

North Central College showcases a collection of works by Diana Leviton Gondek in “Insight/In Sight,” June 27-Aug. 17, with Pop Art influences.

North Central College will showcase a collection of works by Diana Leviton Gondek in “Insight / In Sight.”

Her free exhibit will present a variety of oil paintings June 27-Aug. 17 in the College’s Schoenherr Gallery at the Fine Arts Center, 171 E. Chicago Ave. The public is invited to meet the artist during a reception from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, June 29, in the gallery. Complimentary refreshments will be served.

Education alumna to administer principal-preparation grant for East Aurora schools

North Central College education alumna Mavis DeMar ’79 has been named to a newly created administrative post in East Aurora School District 131.

North Central College education alumna Mavis DeMar ’79 has been named to a newly created administrative post in East Aurora School District 131.

DeMar was promoted from her position as principal of Hermes Elementary School in Aurora. In her new role she will oversee a collaborative program between East Aurora and North Central College to prepare future principals.

Sara Reid earns Outstanding Major in French Award

Sara Reid was awarded the Outstanding Major in French Award during North Central College’s 2014 Honors Convocation.

Sara Reid, daughter of Donald and Colleen Reid of Naperville, was awarded the Outstanding Major in French Award during Honors Day May 13 at North Central College.  

A junior, Sara has a double major in French and in elementary education at North Central College. She is a graduate of Waubonsie Valley High School.

Sara is a French tutor for North Central College’s Language Resource Center, member and treasurer for the French Club and participated in a study abroad trip to France. Her name has regularly appeared on the Dean’s List.

A senior, Taylor is double majoring in interactive media studies: graphic arts and marketing at North Central College. She is a graduate of Central High School.
