Oct. 7, 2010—The Four Freshmen and Chicago Jazz Orchestra will perform together Dec. 4 to create a one-of-a-kind experience at North Central College.

The show will begin at 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 4, in North Central College’s Wentz Concert Hall, 171 E. Chicago Ave., Naperville. Tickets are $55 and $45; call the North Central College Box Office at 630-637-SHOW (7469) or visit www.northcentralcollege.edu/showtix.

Founded in 1948, the Four Freshmen perform with that same unmistakable sound of the original group—a vocal harmony like no other. The group has strongly influenced many groups over the years, including Take Six, Manhattan Transfer and the Beach Boys. Now in its 62nd year and 22nd incarnation, the Four Freshmen’s longevity proves they are doing it right.

The group’s performance with the Chicago Jazz Orchestra is sure to be a combination to remember. Composed of Chicago's top musicians, the Chicago Jazz Orchestra is Chicago’s oldest professional jazz orchestra in continuous operation and one of the oldest jazz repertory orchestras in the country.

The performance is sponsored by Grant Thornton and Harris Private Bank. USG Corporation is underwriting sponsor of the College’s Sesquicentennial 2010-2011 Fine & Performing Arts Season.

This performance is one of many ongoing programs at North Central College to enrich and broaden the cultural and academic outlook for the College and community. North Central offers a variety of venues accommodating a rich range of local and world-class events, performances and space needs for the public.
