May 21, 2012—Jenna Markowski of Lombard was awarded the 2012 Outstanding Major in Journalism Award during Honors Day May 15 at North Central College.
Markowski is a senior majoring in print journalism and interactive media studies/convergent media at North Central College. After she graduates in June she will work full-time in content development with Quality Logo Products in Aurora. She is the daughter of Michael and Anne Marie Markowski and is a 2008 graduate of Glenbard East High School.
For two years, she has served as co-editor-in-chief of The Chronicle, the College’s student-run newspaper, and earned a third-place award in front-page design during the 2011 Illinois College Press Association Awards for work done with the paper. She is also a consistent Dean’s List student.
