Kyle Brady ’10 enjoyed a senior year that other student-athletes can only dream about. Brady achieved a rare triple crown in national collegiate distance running events, becoming the first Division III athlete and just the 12th in collegiate history to achieve All-America status on national championship teams in all three sports in the same academic year. He first contributed to a team championship with a 21st-place finish at the NCAA Division III National Championships in cross country. Then Brady won the 5,000-meter run at the NCAA Division III Indoor National Championships in March and shared in the team title. Finally, in May, Brady won the outdoor championship at 5,000 meters as part of the Cardinals’ 25th team national championship. “I couldn’t picture a better way to go out,” Brady said. “It’s just a magical experience that I couldn’t have even imagined.”

This fall, Brady will complete his student-teaching in physical education at Neuqua Valley High School and will continue to run as a professional, sponsored by Naperville Running Company. “I’m going to compete in the Chicago Marathon and then go back to the track for 5,000 and 10,000 meters in the winter and spring.”
