The men completed their 2010 cross country season at No. 2 among 32 competitors at the NCAA Division III National Championships Nov. 20. Haverford College (Pa.) captured the team National Title.
“Basically we had two guys from our top 15 returning and how this team developed over the course of the year was a coach’s dream. I couldn’t be prouder how these guys stepped up and filled the gaps in such a short time,” said head coach Al Carius.
Saturday's finish marked the third straight top two finish for the Cardinals. North Central was second in 2008 before winning its 13th cross country national title in 2009. Since the formation of the Division III Championships in 1973, North Central has recorded 32 top three finishes.
