Winning contests on Nov. 13 meant the men’s cross country and football teams head to NCAA Division III National Championships in their sports on Nov. 20. In cross country, all seven runners finished in the top 25 at regionals, securing the team’s third straight NCAA Division III Midwest Regional title at the Saukie Golf Course and participation in the National Championships in Waverly, Iowa. The squad aims to claim its second straight national title and 14th overall.
In football, when the Cardinals (10-0) secured sole possession of the CCIW Championship Nov. 13 with a 61-7 victory over North Park University, the team was selected as one of four No. 1 seeds heading into the first round of National Championship playoffs Nov. 20 against eighth-seeded St. Norbert College (7-3).
