Students and parents can learn about more than 200 different in-state and out-of-state colleges and universities at the Illinois College Exposition (ICE) March 19 at North Central College.
“This event creates an opportunity for students and their families to see some 200 colleges and military programs in one place on one night,” says Kristina Bonn, enrollment information specialist at North Central College. “It gives attendees an opportunity to shop around.”
The free ICE fair takes place from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, March 19, at North Central College’s Residence Hall/Recreation Center, 440 S. Brainard St., Naperville.
Parking will be available nearby for students and families at two North Central College parking lots; one on Loomis Street at the corner of Van Buren Avenue and a second at the corner of Van Buren Avenue and Brainard Street.
Designed for high school juniors and sophomores, ICE introduces students and their parents to representatives from more than 200 post-secondary institutions, both in state and out of state, as well as the armed services. Financial aid professionals will be available to discuss and answer questions about the federal financial aid process. For a complete list of schools, directions and a campus map, visit northcentralcollege.edu/admission/ice-fair.
Participants will receive important take-home information about educational planning, with opportunities to visit displays from various colleges, universities and the armed forces, and to speak one-on-one with representatives. Students attending are also encouraged to bring a resume. Dress is business casual.
ICE is sponsored by the Illinois Association for College Admission Counseling, in cooperation with North Central College and more than 20 area high schools. For more information contact Ashley Dudich at email@example.com or call North Central College’s Office of Admission at 630-637-5800.
