Gregory H. Wolf, North Central College professor of German and Dennis and Jean Bauman Professor of the Humanities, and German major Jessy Krempp ’16 co-published an essay in the scholarly journal “Communications from the International Brecht Society” 42 (2013) 126-132.

Wolf and Krempp published a review essay of Spanish playwright Juan Mayorga’s 2004 drama, “Way to Heaven.” The play was performed at North Central College in May 2013 by its theatre and music departments and was directed by Kelly Howe, North Central assistant professor of theatre. The play is set in the Nazi concentration camp of Theresienstadt and explores how the Nazis misled the Red Cross and international community to believe that Jews and other prisoners were being held in humane conditions.

Krempp is a College Scholar. Wolf joined North Central College’s faculty in 2005. He earned his B.A. from The University of the South and his M.A. and Ph.D. from The Ohio State University.
