Richard Gacek Jr. was honored with the 2011 Outstanding Major in Finance Award during Honors Day May 17 at North Central College.
Gacek is a graduating senior double-majoring in finance and economics. He has participated in North Central’s College Scholars Honors Program. While a student at North Central, he interned at Robert W. Baird & Co. in the Milwaukee area.
Gacek served as president of the North Central College Finance Club, tutored other students in corporate finance and banking, served as a leader and coordinator of a Students In Free Enterprise (SIFE) project and wrote a weekly column called “Your Life, Your Economy” for The Chronicle student newspaper.
