Kaitlyn likes being able to meet with her professors one-on-one—even when she’s thousands of miles away.
“When I was in Japan doing an independent study, I communicated with my advisor through Skype,” she says. “You really get to know the faculty, which is one of North Central’s top attributes. I’ve become very close to my professors.”
Between classes, clubs and study abroad trips, Kaitlyn has found plenty of ways to immerse herself in Japanese language and culture. She’s president of the Japan Club and is also active in International Club and Model UN.
“Every experience here has helped create a path to my future,” she says. “North Central is definitely one of the best places to study Japanese.”
