John Bradley is one of the directors of the Chicago Area Health and Medical Careers program at the Illinois Institute of Technology. The program has introduced thousands of minority students to careers in medicine, dentistry and other health professions. Passionately involved in civil rights, Bradley participated in the March on Washington in 1963. Working behind the scenes, he witnessed the great attention to detail necessary in coordinating tens of thousands of people. “The March on Washington and others taught me so much about organizing,” he said. Bradley would later receive his master’s degree in urban education from Harvard University.
